Alice @97.3's DJ to MC Battle of the Bands

Alice @97.3 will have their very own Hooman Khalili, otherwise known as just “Hooman!,” (often shouted with the famous Arsenio Hall arm movement) to MC’s Battle of the Bands event. For those of you have not listen, seen or read anything Hooman I highly recommend a listen to Alice's morning show or check out his Facebook or Youtube page - he is pretty hilarious and a huge movie buff.

A special thanks to Stephanie Yang, of AKQA, for bringing in Hooman to MC this event.

BIO

Hooman Khalili is currently a DJ for Alice@97.3 radio for the morning show featuring Sarah and Vinnie.  He is also a celebrity interview for Alice, covering all the red-carpet premieres.  His YouTube channel page boasts over 12 million view and some his most recent interviews include Jack Black, Charlize Theron, and John Cho.

And did we mention these awesome Tshirts?

As if the 5 bands performing at this event wasn't enough of a draw, then perhaps we can entice you with these sweet custom T-shirts made especially for Battle of the Bands?  For you fashionistas, the v-neck soft-cotton charcoal grey American Apparel's will have wearability long after the show.  And for those classic Americana traditionalists, the Hanes beefy tees are right up your alley.  Whatever cotton you choose, rest assured; you're sporting an original.  We'll be selling these threads the night of the event for $15 each.  Quantities are limited, and if you know any sfBIG event, you know that this too will be sold out fast.

Sneak Peek at Competition

Curious to see what the competition has in store for next week's event?  Check out some of the undeniable musical talent that San Francisco's agencies house.  Universal-McCann's Love Butter's cover of Sweet Child O' Mine would make Axl proud.  And Butler Shine Stern & Partner's Slipstream Sparrows soars to unbelievable heights.  Who's going to take home the coveted 4 foot trophy?  Who's going to taste defeat?  Who knows?  Only way to find out is to show up.

SF - Let's "Jump" and show NYC that we too have musical talent

Below is a clip from the Battle of the Ad Bands in New York for Advertising Week in 2009.  The reigning champions out of McCann NY, More Effing Cowbells, perform the forever famous Van Halen song "Jump". I don't know about you, but I am excited to see what talents San Francisco has to showcase for our first Battle of the Bands at American Music Hall on Wednesday August, 4th.

Which agency do you think will showcase the most talent? Can McCann be the coast to coast reigning champions or will an agency like Agency.com step and take it for the west?

Let us know which agency you think has the musical talent and share it on Facebook.
